Specialized Language Exam for Dentists - FSP Preparation

🦷 Dentists FSP Exam The specialized language exam for international dentists has been organized by the district governments of Düsseldorf and Cologne since 2014.

Course overview

The 60-minute exam consists of three parts - dentist-patient conversation, documentation, and dentist-dentist discussion - and exclusively tests specialized language skills.

The candidate conducts a medical history interview with a simulated patient, as is common in daily practice.

The candidate explains their preliminary diagnosis, outlines the treatment plan, and documents the medical history on a provided form.

🎓 Qualification for Dentists

Requirements for license

  • Language skills at B2 level
  • Specialized language exam at C1 level
  • Knowledge exam (for non-EU)
  • Completed dental studies

Participation requirements

Completed dental studies, language skills at B2 level, and a passed placement test are required.

For the license, language skills at B2 level, the specialized language exam at C1 level, and a knowledge exam are required.

Weeks 1-3: Basics of dental communication, specialist vocabulary, patient counseling

At the end of the course, a communication test in dental specialist language takes place, led by experienced specialist lecturers.
