Dentists - German language course

Dentists

Since the second half of the year 2014, the specialist language examination for foreign dentists has been conducted in the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Commerce (Kammerbereich Nordrhein (ZÄK NR) ) by the Düsseldorf and Cologne District Governments. The 60-minute examination of 20 minutes each is divided into three sections – dentist-patient interview, documentation, dentist-dentist interview – and refers only to the medical language and not to the basic knowledge of dentistry.the language course for dentists prepares the Students in Duisburg and Düsseldorf for the final examination

Examination procedure

Dentist-patient-conversation

First the candidate in the dentist patient conversation with a fictitious patient accomplishes a clearly structured anamnesis talk, as it belongs also in hospitals and medical practices of the everyday life.

Diagnosis Then the physician experiences the history of the patient in the anamnesis talk. In addition he can gain important additional references and information by asking questions. Afterwards the examinee describes their suspected diagnosis and gives the patient suggestions for further treatment and therapy. It is important that the patient is able to understand the examinee safely and accurately. The examinee then receives a prepared form from ZÄK NR. In this form the examinee transfers the anamnesis including a justified presentation of the suspected diagnosis, differential diagnostic distinctions and the presentation of further procedures.

Dentist-Dentist-Conversation

In the dentist-dentist-conversation the examinee receives the written report / doctor’s letter. The examinee introduces the patient in consideration of the dental terminology. In this context, the examinee should also explain his own evaluation and his ideas for further treatment, with the examiner asking questions in this context. The examiners can also submit further documents to the patient, which the examinee should evaluate.

This intensive course will therefore teach you the important basics of dental terminology. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at this event.
