Mission and identity

L.A.N.E.S. is an institution approved and recognised by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, which was founded in 2013 with the support of the Mülheimer Haus der Wirtschaft and is involved in the education sector.
The integration of immigrants is a matter close to our hearts, as the founders of L.A.N.E.S. themselves have migration background. We would like to support our participants with our offer to increase their communication skills and to extend their possibilities of action in everyday life, studies and employment.

Services

We support and promote international students on their way to university. Our preparatory courses are tailored to the requirements of a German university and the job market of students, high school graduates and academics.
L.A.N.E.S. cooperates with state colleges and universities as well as with regional and international institutions in Germany and abroad.

Since July 2016, we have been offering regular general integration courses. We also offer literacy courses and courses for acquiring a second language writing system. We are in constant contact with the local Jobcenters, immigration authorities and other integration course providers in and around Duisburg.
We also offer help for integration into society and the labor market in the form of a variety of programs promoted by the Job Center. In this way, we support our participants even after they have acquired the German language.

Values

We see it as our mission to provide high quality instructions in a pleasant learning and working atmosphere to convince and support our participants in a fast and good integration. Respect and openness are our top priorities. The focus lies on each person’s needs. Personal contact is the core element of our work. Only if the individual abilities and the cultural background of the individual are considered he or she can become part of the group. L.A.N.E.S. contributes to intercultural understanding by standing up for diversity in society and working life.

Goals

Equal opportunity is our first corporate goal. We want to establish learning structures that enable our participants to be integrated into the labour market and life in Germany in a sustainable and equal way. The path to this goal leads us through continuous improvement and development of our content, methods and processes based on a certified quality management system.

L.A.N.E.S. Team

The strengths of L.A.N.E.S. are friendliness, openness and intercultural competence as well as the commitment of all employees in the team. The continuous professional and interdisciplinary training of our employees is another important quality factor in this context. Competent advice, a sense of responsibility and open communication characterise the working culture of our company. Respect and patience for the personal support of each participant as well as the joy of intercultural exchange and lively interest in strengthening a common organisation round off the competence profiles of our team of employees.

Successful learning

For L.A.N.E.S. this means the extension of personal and social competences of the individual learner. Our teaching methods are intended to awaken and consolidate the desire and interest in the German language and enable a playful and self-determined approach.
